As a marketer, what should you do?

How about using a new subject line, try one of the following smart ways:

Insert your Personality and Get Personal.

Let your own personality shine in your subject line. Let’s face it – no one is going to be excited with dry toast, which is precisely why you need to be letting your own personality show who you are and shine in the subject line.

It is true though, that some people won’t like your personality. So what? On the other hand, others will love your personality because they see what they want to become themselves in you, and they’ll become supportive fans which counts the most.

For examples: “There are three experts in our own niche that are dead WRONG,” “Why do I hate beets and want them vanished from the planet,” “Why do I check under my bed before going to sleep every night,” and “10 things I learned from the worst world leader in history.”

Use Numbers, it is One of the Smart Ways to Get Your Emails Opened

When it comes to the big field of words, numbers and symbols stand out from the rest. (Think about your Gmail inbox) do you have titles similar to ones below:

For example: “7 smart ways to make a German Apple Pie,” “3 people I hate the most” and “5 days in the wild.”

Ask a question. Asking Questions it is Just Another Smart Way to Get Your Emails Opened

Never under-estimate the power of a question. For whatsoever reason, smart questions seem to work wonders and are better than statements. Questions entice the reader to stop mementerly and think deeper.

For example, instead of asking, “How to do this,” consider ask the question in a different way like, “Can you tell me how to do this?”

Yet another example: “Why can’t you go to the bathroom?” “Where do you want me to ship this?” “Is the dorky look back in style?” (Dorky means unfashionable,) Why would anyone wear such an unfashionable/dorky glasses?

Invoking Curiosity Gets Your Emails Opened

Curiosity killed the cat, you definitely don’t want to kill your visitors, you only want to invoke curiosity.

It is not so strange that weird headlines get clicks – sometimes. This one is a little bit tricky to implement, but if you can cause enough curiosity, you’ll be blown away at how many subscribers will open your emails just by having strange headlines.

If you receive a lot of emails, check carefully and see which one entices your curiosity the most.

Examples: “My Dr. told me to eat dirt,” “How to know you’re about to have a heart attack” and “The dessert only diet.” When you read all of these headlines for the first time, you would say “WHAT?”

Super Short Subject Lines:

How short subject lines can be to make it super short?

There was a reason why, for awhile, you kept seeing the subject line, “Hey.”

It worked.

But like anything else, once it’s used too much, it becomes ineffective and wears off.

But it doesn’t heart if every once in awhile you try using either a one word subject line, or a short subject line that you use as a great opening to a story. Examples:

“Yikes!” “Damn,” “That’s when I knew,” “Unbelievable!” “Groan…” “Oh no!” “How did THAT happen?” “Facepalming AGAIN,” and so forth.

And One Last Smart Way but Ultra-Important Tip:

Always send your emails twice. The second time should be to everyone who didn’t open these emails from the first time.

How this works: Now a days, nearly every autoresponder has this option, and if yours doesn’t have this option, ask your provider for it.

When you send emails out, send them in the morning. Wait for 8 to 12 hours, and then resend it to everyone who didn’t open it the from the first time.

Make sure you use a different subject line the second time, but keep the email contents the same.

Your second subject line can be entirely different, thus (hopefully) sparking interest in those subscribers who didn’t open the first email.

Alternatively, you can simply say, “You missed this email earlier,” or something like that.

Typically, I get nearly as many emails opened the second time I send an email as I do in the first time.

This is a great way to reuse your emails. You’re not annoying those subscribers who did open your first email. And you will get more clicks and make more sales with less efforts.

Finally, you may schedule the second email to go out when you send out the first email. Just make sure to send it only to those readers who did not open those email the first time.

Frankly speaking, it wasn’t the whispering that captured the attention – it was that good-looking lady in the commercial.

Why do you think sex will capture human’s attention every time, and what is that distinctive ingredient that (surprisingly) works just as good as sex to attract your prospect’s eyeballs to your webpage?

Here’s what I’ve Learned that Captures Reader’s Attention:

The human being has 3 brains enclaved into one – the analytical, thinking brain; the emotional brain; and the primitive, reptilian brain.

Example Emphasising Reptilian Brain Way to Attract Reader’s Attention

The primitive brain has one and only one interest – survival. The job of the primitive brain is to constantly monitor the surrounding environment for 3 things:

  1. Food or anything it can eat.
  2. Reproduction or anything it can have sex with.
  3. Violence or anything that will harm, hurt or kill it.

That says it all. The primitive brain keeps monitoring the surrounding environment for survival of the human being and the species, and because it’s a primitive and simple, it’s also brain-dead and easy to capture its attention.

Then what should you do, simply use images or pictures with words that brings the sex thoughts out, encourages food craving or entice danger and your prospect cannot resist but not to look away.

Yes, it’s that simple. If you have an image of a violent accident posted on your site, it will attract your reader’s attention and they will stop to take a look. Don’t you do it while driving, it causes curiousity.

The human primative brain will feel the danger and will make people unable to keep themselves from slowing down and to look and see the danger.

Do you know why so many movie scenes involve chases, dangerous scenes and violence related – Hollywood knows how to entice the primitive brain that forces you to simply not flip to another channel. They simply are catering to your primitive brain.

So this is a simple way to attract your reader’s attention with the help of the primitive brain and the next time when you want to rivet your reader to your sales page in a smart way, try adding some sexy elements, or some food, or even a sense of wild danger.

Your reader won’t know why they can’t take their eyes away from your sales page as it will appeal to them. However, your readers will think that their intense interest in your page must have something to do with the contents of your page, and thus they will be more inclined to linger on your sales page and possibly take the action you desire.

Finally my advise, become irresistible to your readers – try catering their primitive brain in a smart way as well as to their emotional and analytical brains and see what will happen.

Location Independent is Lifestyle of the Future!

You might have probably noticed that many people talk a lot about being “location independent” and it’s one of the things that I’m really interested in and would like to share with you and others because it could make a difference in your life.

As a matter of fact, I think it’s the lifestyle of the future in this era and beyond.

What does it mean to be “location independent”?

It means that you have the ability to make money from wherever you where in the world. It could be your cabin in the woods, your vacation runaway, your boat, and the list goes on and on.

Sure, there are plenty of people who are working on their home business from the comfort of their home now.

But, this is not just about “working from home” it’s more about having the real freedom that you always dreamed about.

This freedom allows you to travel, it allows you to create your own work and life schedule, it allows you to live your life on your own terms, regardless what those terms might be.

If you are having a business that you can work on from anywhere in the world and having access to it at any time then you hit the freedom jackpot.

Don’t believe me, I’ve met so many people who are living abroad. And at the same time they are having a monthly residual income that continues to grow while they get to anywhere they want to be in the world.

And honestly, if you’re reading this, and you’re not actively working with Traffic Wave then you are lagging WAY behind most people as traffic wave is one opportunity that gives you this type of freedom.

An Extremely Important Information about Making Money and Location Independent:

Almost all the working people in the world can be categorized into four categories:

1. Employees:

They represent the majority of people in the world and live paycheck to paycheck. The main problem those people face is that if they lose their job their income stops. (I was one of them at one time). There are many other problems not listed here.

2. Self-Employed

Self-employed people generally find their own work rather than being provided with work by an employer, They are highly skilled people earning income from a trade or business that they operate like Doctors, lawyers, carpenters, etc…

Usually, they work alone as they believe that nobody can do a better job than them. But they face the same problem, if they aren’t on top of their business, their business stops. (I was one of them at one time)

3. Business Owners

Business owners are Individuals or entity who owns a business entity in an attempt to profit from the successful operations of the company. Generally they have a decision-making abilities and first right to profit.

Business owners won’t worry if they go on vacation at anytime they want or take a leave for any personal reasons.

Basically they have employed people to handle their business for them while they are not around. They can monitor their business from far away. (been there, doing that.)

4. Investors:

An investor is any person or a group of people who commits capital with the expectation of financial returns. Investors utilize investments in order to grow their money and/or provide an income during retirement. Investors are people who make their money work for them. (been there, doing that.)

What do you conclude from the above, is that only business owners and investors can live location independent compared to others. But be aware that one can be in one category or more even one can be in all four categories at the same time!

Lesson Learned.

There’s a lesson that I learned the hard way that I’d like to share with you.

What plans have you had to get you from where you are now to where you want to be at in a year or two from now?

If you do have a plan then very likely that it may not be where you end up. (So what?!?)

I told you a little bit about what I’m doing and so can you get an idea to start you in the right direction, but it took a TON of different versions and visions of my “perfect” business to finally get where I am today.

Some call it “trial and error”, and others call it “failing a whole lot”. Irrespective of what others call it what is important is that I STARTED and I made it online.

The list is long… salesman, email marketer, network marketer, affiliate marketer, product creator, etc… a bunch of different variations of each of those along the way until I finally went back to my roots and landed right back in where i wanted to be at.

What to do from Now on Till you Become Location Independent?

So, my advice to you is to continue your journey… keep doing what you’ve been doing and getting the same results, but keep your eyes open for opportunities along the way that resonate with you and don’t be afraid to try some thing new.

No matter how many times you try to open a locked door, it won’t open until you take a different approach to unlock the padlock for you to be able to open the door and enter.

It’s all about a GOAL that you want to achieve, Having that goal to be free is the most important ingredient for you to actually be earning your freedom in life.

Sooner or later you’ll be able to find your own sweet spot and have the chance to experience location independence for yourself to live on your own terms if you may wish.

1. Write Contents for the Human Readers.

When you write, who do you write for? Is it your readers or search engines?

That’s why when you write, write for your audience, NOT for search engines. Sometimes we get carried away and we get caught up optimizing our content for SEO that we forget we’re really writing for our readers and not search engines.

I’ve been there done that! And sometimes I forget it.

When Creating content create some great content that is useful for people, the content should help them, educate people and entertain them at the same time.

Make SEO your second priority when writing your content, Your first priority should be people. Otherwise your visitors isn’t going to get past your second paragraph before clicking away from your site and moving on to someone else’s.

2. Write Contents for Your Platform Reader.

Write great contents for your readers, NOT for a certain platform that you prefer.

regretfully, these days social media has become dominant and all we hear about is social media and everyone wants to know what to put on social media like Facebook, or they want to know what to Tweet and so forth to make a quick buck on the fly.

Again, if you are using this approach then you’re using the wrong approach and it will cost you on the long run.

Here is what to do instead. identify what your audience want, and THEN consider which platforms are best for delivering your great content. It’s not about Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, your blog, etc… it’s about giving your audience what they really want the most.

3. Avoid the Control Freak Feeling.

Don’t be a control freak. It’s not so difficult for you to fall into the mindset that all the contents that you write must be published on your own website for you to stay in control, This type of thinking will only limit your ability to reach a wider audience.

What to do instead, build your content so that it can travel around the Net, build it so that it can be downloaded, embedded or shared on social media and/or friends – thus by doing so you’re capturing many more eyeballs than you think and attracting attention of those eyeballs back to your site.

You should think of your content as your ambassadors who are traveling all around the world to tell your stories to others, and sending those new audiences back to your site.

The more shares your content gets, the more people it will reach, and the more traffic you will get back  to your site.

4. Produce Good Helpful and Productive Results for your Readers

Be fruitful. Regardless whether you’re writing one article or blogging once a week, try stepping it up to one blog a day if you can, or even more.

Write as much great content as you can, and don’t get stuck in one rigid rut, either. Create a range of different contents and see what attracts the most eyeballs and the most responses.

When you get a feedback, pay attention to audiences’ feedback – they’ll tell you what’s working for you and what’s not, what they love and their interests, and what they want more of. This way you know what to provide.

5. Give Your Readers Topics they Seek.

Be open with your audience. If you planned to create a series of videos on topic A, and it happened that during your second video you introduced topic B, and your audience went nuts and started to ask for more information about topic B. The here is what to do?

Simply – give them what they are asking for right there and NOW. You still can finish your series later on if you want to, but for right now, you’ve struck gold mine and you need to start mining that gold for all it’s worth.

And when you start giving, be smart and give your audience great content on Topic B that they can’t resist, interview an expert or two on that particular topic if it is necessary, offer your audience products with your affiliate links on that topic, and so on.

Sometimes we hit pay dirt when we least expect to do so, and the most foolish thing one can do is to ignore it and NOT jump on the opportunity immediately.

If you want to make money, you need to know that money loves speed, and customers love to spend their money to have their desires satisfied NOW.

6. Look After Your Readers Like Exactly Like Customer Services do.

Last, When you make a blog post, don’t create your content and run. Always go back and ANSWER to your replies you get. When you create a Tweet, don’t leave Twitter till you respond to the responses you get from others, and so forth.

When you follow-up, this interaction says as much about you as much as it says about your content, and if you do follow-up correctly, it says that you’re not just looking to make a quick buck and you DO care about your audiences.

Not only is it the classy thing to do – it’s also the most profitable thing to do. Wouldn’t you agree?

So, you’ve just finished writing that million dollar sales copy that sells for your new product in 10 days or less that we talked about earlier. But wouldn’t it be great if there was a way to test that sales copy BEFORE you actually start sending prospects to it to see its effectiveness?

Why do you Want to Test that Sales Copy Before you Start Sending Prospects to it?

Because you want to get results don’t you?

Think about it for a moment and you’ll realize that – if you were to send a 1,000 visitors to your sales letter then it turns out that NOBODY bought your new product that you just created, then you’ve just wasted all that valuable traffic which is hard to come with.

And if you spent your hard-earned money to get that traffic, then you’re out that investment.

Even if that traffic was for free, still you’ve missed a chance to sell your visitors your new product.

Odds are, even if you were to rewrite that sales copy once again, that wasted traffic are gone now and they’re not going to come back to take a second look and read your sales letter again.

(one exception will be if you were to offer some kind of incentive, in that case you might be able to bribe your visitors into reconsidering your offer and taking a second look.)

If only there were a way to know ahead of time whether your sales copy is good enough or not…

Wait, There is a Way to Find out if Your Sales Copy is Going to Convert!

Here’s what you should do – Isolate yourself from the rest of the world, that is, turn off your mobile, phone, sever, your Internet connection and refuse to be distracted for the next hour or so at any cost.

Now then, put yourself in place of your prospect and imagine if you are that prospect.

You are thinking exactly like a prospect wold would do, feeling like the prospect, experiencing the same issues that goes to their minds, same problems they have, same questions that you ask as a prospect, etc…

Place yourself in the prospect’s shoes and reread your sales copy again from start till the end.

Do not spend time doing any corrections or anything else yet – simply reread the sales copy as though you are a real prospect who is considering to buy this new product of yours.

Are you Done Reading that Sales Copy?

Now do an evaluation and rate how well your sales copy accomplished the following, allocating a number between 1 – 5 to each point of the sales letter.

  1. Terrible “Practically non-existent”
  2. There is “Room for plenty of improvements”
  3. Average “Not terrible, but needs some improvements”
  4. is “Effective”
  5. Perfect “You positively NAILED it.”

Ready? Here we go Put Your Sales Copy to the Test…

  • Does that headline title grasp your attention instantly? _____
  • Does the lead-in causes curiosity and compels you to read more? _____
  • Does the headlines and lead-in are completely believable? _____
  • Is the headline and lead-in combo likely to resonate powerfully enough with a large number of your prospects? _____
  • Is there a powerful benefit that the headline and lead-in combo offer? _____
  • Does the spokesperson establish his/her qualifications beyond doubt? _____
  • Do the emotions you experience while reading the first few paragraphs entice you to want to read further? _____
  • Is the prospect given a strong reason why one must read this, and must read this now? _____
  • Does the sales copy simulate a conversation between two friends? _____
  • Is it clear that the spokesperson truly has the best interests of the prospect at heart? _____
  • Are the benefits fully highlighted in the sales copy in an ascending order of importance? _____
  • Are the emotional reasons for purchasing fully developed? _____
  • Does the letter entertain and inform as well as it sell? _____
  • Is the price fully justified and reasonable? _____
  • Is the guarantee prominent and does it restate the benefits? _____
  • Is there a compelling reason why the prospect should immediately make the purchase? _____
  • Is there a sense of urgency in the sales copy? _____
  • Do you feel yourself getting more and more excited as you go through the letter? _____
  • Is the call to action compelling enough that you would feel silly for not ordering immediately? _____
  • Is the prospect told exactly what to do next, how to order and how will one receive their product? _____
  • If you were a prospect, would you purchase the product? _____

Evaluate the Sales Copy Score:

  • 21 – 50: Stop. Make significant changes or disregard or Do NOT use this sales copy at all.
  • 51 – 65: Not good, but you started on the right track. Go back and make some adjustments on your sales copy as needed.
  • 66 – 80: Not a bad draft, but isn’t good enough to be used unless you just don’t have the time to fix it, OR your offer is so compelling ($100 cars, for example) that it doesn’t need a strong letter.
  • 81 – 95: Looking good. A little bit of tweaking to improve conversions of your sales copy.
  • 96 – 105: Great Job! Maybe you should be writing copy for a living!

This is usually called paralysis by analysis – that is waiting instead of taking action…

…think about how you’ll do it and
…try to figure out all the details and
…then research more and then
…think about it one more time until
…enough time has passed that you
…just drop it and take a decision you’re gonna do something else.

Analysis paralysis or paralysis by analysis is the state of over-analyzing (or over-thinking) a situation so that a decision or action is never taken, in effect paralyzing the outcome.

Do you see now why the so-called step-by-step system mentality is a real motivation killer for you. You become an action faker rather than an action taker.

You’ll never be able to know what is the next step that you’re going to take to achieve your sought after results, that is simply because you don’t know everything that’s gonna happen along the way (and what will not happen as well).

In my opinion, I think there are 2 things that you need to get you started on any project:

  1. You need to know what is your final goal that you’re trying to reach.

  2. You need to know the first step you need to take to start moving towards that goal.

Oh yes, you need to start by TAKING that first step forward. Once you take the first step and it’s out-of-the-way, step 2 will reveal itself without you knowing it and the process goes on till you reach your final goal.

Many people think this is different and relies on guessing. However, with this kind of mindset there usually nothing to bog you down and nothing to get in your way when taking action and achieving results while seeing progress.

Have you not seen or heard how illiterate people achieved remarkable results and become successful entrepreneurs? How do you think they did it?

Even if that progress turns out to be trying and discovering a new way that does not work. Remember that when Thomas Edison invented the light bulb – he tried thousands of ways and discovered hundreds of ways NOT to make a light bulb, but he was persistent and that cleared the way for him to invent the light bulb.

Create Your Next Product

As every day passes by, work load increases and most of the time allotted gets occupied – and even more time beyond that. By then one feels like the work is never going finish and there is no time for other things on your agenda – this will only happen if you don’t have a hard deadline!

Thus, if you know how to set your dealine and if for example you make it a goal to finish your new ebook in 3 months, then at the 3 month mark you’ll either be just about to finish your book, or even worse, you’ll realize you’ve only finished writing half of it.

What is wrong with bieng yourself? Many times people doubt their capabilities and think they’re somehow ‘not good enough,’ so they try to pretend they are someone else. The problem is that when you’re not yourself, people get to know that and can smell a phony one a mile away.

Don’t try to be Mr. Perfect nor should you try to be Mr. Know-it-All because nobody will buy such a nonsense, and even if they were, they want to know REAL people with real lives, real challenges, and who say real things. Always stay true to yourself because you are a one-of-a-kind original, and as they say, everyone else is already taken anyway.

The master would then and of course…

Teach them the fundamentals of the trade.

Help them when they are stuck and lack the necessary experience.

Give them constructive advice on how to solve their problem from his experience not only get them back on track, but to speed up their learning period and save them years on their way to mastery.
